Job Responsibilities

In your special educational role, you will have an important part in preventive and promotional work. Your tasks include identifying opportunities and removing obstacles to students' learning. We see that you play a vital role in driving development issues within special education at the school. Based on observations and assessments, you should be able to analyze at the individual, group, and organizational levels. You should feel confident in guiding educators. We assume that your special educational competence is an important part of the student health work and assists management in proposing appropriate measures based on your special educational perspective. You will work in a student health team where individual skills and the ability to collaborate are equally important.

Part of the job involves direct work with students in need of special support. The role includes supporting educators in making adaptations, establishing response plans, conducting educational investigations, follow-ups, and evaluations.

Qualifications

  • You have relevant education and certification as a special teacher or special educator
  • Experience working in primary school
  • You possess good leadership qualities and create positive learning environments for students
  • The position requires good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.
  • It is an advantage if you have the qualification to conduct ITPA.

We would like you to have a good understanding of and feel comfortable with the documentation process and understand its significance in daily work. You have experience and feel comfortable collaborating with external actors, such as BUP, habilitation, speech therapy, and social services, and are confident in your contact with guardians.

We are looking for someone with a positive view of people and a good ability to create trusting relationships. You work preventively and have the ability to handle and resolve conflicts constructively. Furthermore, you are meticulous, flexible, and attentive to students' needs, and you enjoy working with students and contributing to their development.

You feel confident in guiding colleagues and have the competence to do so in a professional manner. In your work, you meet all students based on their individual conditions and needs.
